Android Phone Help

Post by SpaceBooger »

Yesterday for no reason, almost every app on my Andriod Razor Maxx updated. I did not log into the store or set anything (that I know of), any idea how this happened and how to prevent it in the future?
Thanks

You should check each app in the Play Store and uncheck wherever it is marked as automatically updating.

If none of them are, I have no idea.

After you check what o.pwuaioc said, did your phone automatically process a system update by any chance? It's the only other thing I can think of that would cause a mass app update, though it's unlikely because I've never seen a phone that doesn't ask you to apply a system update.

Thats what I thought... I was wondering if there was an update that forced updates or something.
There was a system/os update by Verizon last month. Maybe that is to blame.

arise thread!

I also need help with my android phone. Its a samsung galaxy exhibit sgh-t599n

I think its kinda my fault, in a you get what you pay for kind of way. I got it for$30 USD and with a data plan. I did a contract to help out my brother who needed a phone too.

But I cant afford another phone, yet. I'm still stubborn and want to keep this one I have right now, longer.

To tell you the truth, this is my first android phone. I'm still trying to figure out stuff on it. For me, its a convenient way to get to racketboy on my break from work.

But this little phone seems to be just like a tablet, where I am familiar with it.

But I noticed the shortcomings of this device.

It only has 2gb of built in memory. Which has already run out!

At first I had it with no extra mini SD card and I quickly filled it up with music and apps.

after a while, it gave me a warning that the memory was full. I deleted some apps and finally got the SD card. So I moved all my music and photos there.

Eventually the phone did it again. It told me I was out of space again. I deleted and more stuffs with each warning.

Now I'm at the point where I have all the essential stuff. My phone is devoid of games now. All I can do is go on youtube and check my emails. I dont want to delete anymore apps because there's nothing left.

To make some more space, I have gone into app manager and "cleared Cache" which helps a little. But not anymore. And it looks like samsungs have all these excess apps built in. I dont know which ones are essential and which ones are junk.

But for the longest time now, My apps have not updated because of lack of space on the phone itself. Last night I deleted one more app (that i liked :( )and that freed up just enough space to update a few more apps. But now, I cant do it anymore. All the app updates have taken up all the space in my phone! My phone once again tells me that there is no more space! I am frankly annoyed by this!

I've done some snooping and there are apps that move downloads and app info to the micro SD card. But I dont know which one to use. There's too much to go through at the Google app store. I currently have a 8gb filled to half capacity and I have a 16gb that I can swap that with.

Have any of you guys and gals out there used one of these apps/programs? Do you have some advice for a frustrated person on how to fix this annoying problem?

I'd really appreciate any help!

If it was a message saying "Android is upgrading apps" that could not be bypassed and runs through all your apps, that's just a run-of-the-mill system update. Nothing to worry about - it's totally normal. :)
