Waku Waku 7 question
Is it possible to play Waku Waku 7 on a standard american saturn with the action replay? It requires the 4MB cart, and I am wondering if that's an issue.

Well AFAIK, most if not all AR's are the 4-in-1, which means it also functions as the 4MB RAM cart. I know mine does.

Yes, I own the saturn version and it plays with that cart great. This version does have the load times compared to the MVS version, which is why I plan to swap out at some point.

Also the background sprites look awful. They are pixelated out the frame compared to the MVS & AES releases.Bradtemple87 wrote:Yes, I own the saturn version and it plays with that cart great. So the one in the RB store will save game data and allow imports to play and provide 1/4MB game support?

Quoting Zig from this thread:
Ziggy587 wrote:I've never had a problem with it dropping saves. The only problem with saving games on the Pro Action Replay is that you can't save to it from in game. Games wont see the cart as a save cart. If you wanna put saves on the cart you have to save to the system memory and then back it up to the cart. What's more, if you wanna use a save on the cart you have to move it from the cart to the system memory in order to load it in game.
So if you have a new battery in your system, you can use the internal memory to play games, and when you start to run out of space you can back up saves your not currently using to the Pro Action Replay.
To me, this is a pain in the ass. If all you want is a memory cart, I would suggest getting an official Sega brand cart. That's what I use. The PAR is awesome because of its other features, but honestly, it sucks as a memory cart since you can't use it in game.

Re: Waku Waku 7 question
Yikes. Is there any cart that does everything and also allows saves?

Also note carts leave the console's video mode untouched.

Re: Waku Waku 7 question
Well, look, if my priorities are In the Hunt, Legend of Oasis, Powerslave, Mr. Bones, Guardian Heroes (NTSC-J) and Waku Waku 7, on an NTSC (US) Saturn, what should I be doing?
