N64 passport plus 3 - any experience with it ?!

Post by Saki »

Hi guys,

everything works fine with my adapter(Version 3.1) except of cheat codes or gameshark codes. I own a pal n64. Recently I got forsaken 64 (us), this game does not need any boot code to work but I would like to use some cheats like the "gore-mode". There is a button combination you have to do to activate this cheat but there is also "only" one gameshark code for it (8008ED670012) which I would like to use , why not this adapter has the function for it. Somehow does not work this code or any other cheat code I put in for example for Sin and Punishment or California Speed. All these cheat codes are activated in "Default On" mode , there is also a mode called "Button" but I dont know what to do to activate the code, even in the original manual there is no hint for that.

I hope you can help me with that.

Thanks for ur answers , Saki :)

If you have a plus it should have a Action Replay built in. It would not surprise me if they 86ed the Gameshark compatibility because of it.

Thanks for your reply :)

Yes, I have the plus one Image

What Do you mean with " 86ed" and is there a difference between Action replaycodes and those game shark's ??
Do you might know any working codes for the following games :

Cruis'n Exotica
Sin and punishment
Forsaken 64 (Us)
Mario Golf /Tennis (Jap)
California Speed
Battletanx 1/2 (Us)
Rayman 2 (Us)
F-ZERO X (jap)
Flying Dragon (Jap)
Mortal Kombat 4 (Us)

I know I could search these codes on my own but I am so desperate.
I need verified codes and by the way I heard that if type in a "bad" code my adapter will be damaged and therefore useless.

THANKS FOR ANY REPLY ! ;)

86ed is a term for canceled. Sorry, its old restaurant slang.

I do not know any Gameshark or Action Replay codes sorry. The only place I can suggest looking for them is Gamefaqs. Good luck!

There was a marketing or license issue. Several cheat carts named Action Replay in Europe and Japan, were edited into Gameshark for USA.

You'll notice the very close exterior and menu software.

America =

Europe =

Apparently some Japanese users have even used the parallel port to install the English menu.

It is unbeliveable.... The producers dont even know the "button" function they implemented in their adapter. Here is the evidence :

Dear ........,

I am sorry that we also don't know what is the function of this code. We are sorry about that.
