Transferring PSP saves using my PS3 - Question

Post by MrEco »

I'm gonna be buying a bigger memory stick for my PSP very soon. And I'd like to not lose my save games, so I plan to copy them from my old memory stick onto my PS3 and then back onto the new one I'll be getting.

I've tried Google searching, so I know this method works for PSN games like the PS1 Classic's, but I couldn't find anyone to confirm if that will work for regular PSP games.

So, can non-PSN PSP games have the save files copied to PS3?

I'm pretty sure any PSP save can be copied PS3. Unfortunately, you have to copy each save individually. It'll take forever. If you're like me, you've got a few hundred save files to worry about!

My advice is to back them up to your computer. Plug in your PSP, and all the save files will be located in /PSP/SAVEDATA. Just copy all the folders in there to your computer at once.

Actually, luckily for me, my PSP is relatively new and I've only got like three saves I want to transfer so far.

Thanks for the help man.
