Naki wireless controller help

I can't seem to get the controller to work without pressing the 1P/2P switch down. I've managed to get it to work by taping it down, but I don't think that is what the manufacturers for this controller wanted. ;) Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I broke the controller trying to fix my problem. :(
At least it was only 10 bucks.
