Video games are no stranger to advertising, but one of the most interesting examples of this is the coca cola kid for the game gear. What! You never heard of this game? Well it was never released outside of Japan but in the newest episode of Michael's Retro Game Reviews you can find out about this game.

Re: Coca Cola Kid Review (Game Gear)
Your reviews are such a delight. Thanks very much for all the info. Seems like you really nailed providing all the important bits. Before watching I was thinking of this 7-up spot game. I knew about that red game gear, but not about that game.

Re: Coca Cola Kid Review (Game Gear)
I've seen the Coca-Cola Game Gear before, and I knew there was a game that went with it, but I've never taken the time to look up gameplay. Great review!
Re: Coca Cola Kid Review (Game Gear)
Nice review. I'm seeing some vague nods to Mario in this game with the death animation and the turtle shell boss.
On the subject of wall-jumps, I actually find this method to be normal. It's probably from playing so much NSMB.
