Post by aaron »

i'll probably do a proper one of these eventually, but for now, shitty cell phone pics ahoy!

Image

-Sony 32" Trinitron (I forget the model number atm)
-Sega Genesis/Sega CD/Sega 32X on top (using RetroGameCave's Sega Trio 3-in-1 power supply), with a few CDs/DVDs and an Asciiware 3-button arcade pad to the right.
-Dreamcast (S-Video)
-Xbox (component, hardmodded w/ Xecuter2, 320GB HDD, and Logitech wireless controller)
-PS2 (component, w/ Network Adapter and HD Loader currently setup, will probably move towards FreeMcBoot and OPL eventually; also two Logitech wireless controllers)
-VCR (composite)
-signed Andrew WK poster on the wall there 8)

Image

to the right of the TV, from L to R:
-box full of replacement DVD cases for DC and Xbox 360 games
-the SEGA SHELF (w/ a few GCN games)
-a trash can
-Steel Battalion controller
-iPad 2 (jailbroken, running evasi0n for 6.1.3; w/ Zaggfolio BT keyboard/hard case)

Image

closeup of the shelf:
-DC games, custom cased in white DVD cases w/ custom printed artwork from thecoverproject
-DC imports Rez & Headhunter, followed by some burned games waiting to be covered
-Saturn games
-SMS games
-Sega CD games (most in DVD cases w/ custom covers)
-GCN games (in micro-DVD cases waiting to be covered)
-bottom shelves are all Genesis/32X carts (65 total) & Awesome Sega Genesis Secrets book

Image

PC/Steam gaming setup and cover-printing station, sweet fleece/corduroy jacket, sleeping cat.

Specs on the laptop, if you're interested:
Dell Latitude 6520
Core i7 vPro @ 2.70 GHz

Looks good. I think we're gonna need the specs on the cat though.

 I have two, a skinny and a very lardy one. Why is it an obese cat is cute, but a fat man with a hairy back is not? :D

Beautiful work on the custom Dreamcast cases! I found a site that might allow your Steel Battalion Controller to work in the PC.

My immediate thought was that it'd be great for MechWarrior or something

...turns out that's exactly what it's for. Should've known!

I bet the controller would work well for emulating something like Virtual On too.

Hey what dvd cases did you buy and how much were they? I kind of want to do what you did but for sega cd games since I only own burned copies for it.
