Gametrak for Xbox/PS2

Post by BoneSnapDeez »

Anyone know about this device? Seems to be some sort of motion controller, maybe an early precursor to Wii-type controls.

My local Goodwill has the Xbox version, boxed, for $7.99. I skipped out on it today because it was a little more than I like to pay for things at thrift stores. But after searching ebay and other places I realize that it was a pretty decent deal.

Anyone have any experience with one of these? There's a compatible golf game that I'd like to check out. 8)

I have one but it is not wireless. The two pivots at the top have strings that pull out. These are attached to gloves for that Golf game you mentioned. There is a separate what looks like a sensor that sits in front, it really is just a step switch.

When plugged into a PC, it is picked up as a USB game controller. The strings really pull out far, I was kicking around an idea to use it for of all things a Flight Controller. Think of the string attached to a home built collective stick to fly a Helo. I really should crack it open and do something with it.

Looks like a pile. I'd pass on it.

Haha, I don't exactly disagree.

But I caved and bought it. We'll see how it goes...
