Sonic Colors on the DS is essentially Sonic Rush 3.

I'd say more 2/3 2D, since half of the modern sonic levels are played from a sidescrolling perspective anyway.

Not really a platformer, but since you mentioned Sonic 3D Blast on genesis then you have to include the Saturn version.


And there are more for the gamegear. Granted they are the same as the master system, but some regions never got the master system versions. Just game gear.

Knuckles' Chaotix does not feature Sonic as a playable character and it's not really a Sonic game from game mechanics perspective either.
