Psp Screen Cracked? or Outer Shell?

I've recently bought a psp-1001 from a friend and he has a psp-3000 he'd be willing to give me instead, but the problem is the screen has a crack and was wondering if it looks as though the screen is really cracked or just the plastic shell is cracked which I want to replace the 1001's anyways as the outershell is badly scratched.

looks like the outer shell, you can get shell replacements for dirt cheap online. my old psp 1000 had a huge gouge on the screen just bought a new faceplate for like $5 and it was good as new.

Alright thanks! Was looking at getting a new shell for the 1001 but since my friend has a 3000 I'll just trade him and get a replacement shell for the 3000.
