Your experiences with 3rd party wand remotes for the Wii

Post by marurun »

So, I have two remotes with Motion Plus attachments and nunchucks that came with the system, but we kinda want to max out with 4. Thing is, the first party Nintendo controllers, however high-quality, are pricey. The new combined units are ~$40, plus another $15-20 for the nunchuck. Some of the Amazon reviews for 3rd party alternatives concern me a little. Anyone here have any experience with any of these 3rd party alternatives they'd like to share to help me decide which path to go?

hi marurun , pay the extra money ...........ive read on http://www.wiihacks.com/forum.php that people were having problems with 3rd Party WIImotes.

For example the 3rd Party WIImotes doing things on screen when it was totally just siting there doing nothing , like they were possessed with evil.

That evil being cheap imitations..............

I can tell you from personal experience that the Nyko ones are complete garbage. I tried them for a week then returned them.

I have some no-brand motion plus remote and it's never given me any grief. My 3rd party nun-chuck fell apart within months however.
