Hey Guys, new to this site, and new to the Neo Geo world.
Was wondering if anyone had some information on Neo Geo MVS consoles... I'm looking to build one, and was wondering if anyone could help me, on where to get parts etc.
So far I know you need a Supergun, Unibios, an 1FZ board....
Any help is appreciated, I tried joining the neo-geo forum, I activated my account, and still can't post for some reason.

Neo geo forums is your best bet - just wait til they activate your account. Or, search the forum w/o posting, there are dozens of threads on how to build CMVS's and superguns on that site.

another option is to hook up a one or two slot to a vogatek supergun
there are a few different models, so you can read up on which one works best for you in regards to a/v output & controller choice

Watch out now, they're not nearly as welcoming as us here at RB.promking wrote:Thank youmjmjr25 wrote:Neo geo forums is your best bet - just wait til they activate your account. Or, search the forum w/o posting, there are dozens of threads on how to build CMVS's and superguns on that site.

Well, it's a different atmosphere - they've been around 13+ years and they have a much larger membership, so yeah, there is some speculation around noobs and some guys are over the top, but the forum as a whole is incredibly informative and plenty of friendly members.xan_racketBOY_fan wrote:Watch out now, they're not nearly as welcoming as us here at RB.promking wrote:Thank youmjmjr25 wrote:Neo geo forums is your best bet - just wait til they activate your account. Re: Neo Geo MVS Console?
I second this. The is probably the least expensive way and the one that requires the least amount of technical skills.EllertMichael wrote:another option is to hook up a one or two slot to a vogatek supergun

This might help, a section from my forum : http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/forum/v ... .php?f=115
You don't need a Supergun, if you can use RGB for video output, you can tap RGB, audio and controls off the JAMMA connections off the board directly. If you need composite or S-video output, then you might need Supergun.
Different revisions of the boards have different voltage and amperage needs and also the boards are different sizes too.
