We love to riff on stuff like Bubsy or Shaq Fu. Some of us though have a lot of fond childhood memories and nostalgia when it comes to some of these "crappy" games.
Did you have a fond love for Superman 64 or something as a kid? Let me know!
EDIT:
A big one for me is Bad Dudes. I genuinely loved playing that game as a kid, and even now I can't possibly look at it objectively. For some reason, I used to believe that Ninja Gaiden was related to it in some way too.
I played a ton of Back to the Future NES as well. That game was pretty bad, but I loved the movie so much that I kept playing the game anyway. Too bad it was so crazy hard and I never got very far in it.
Those crappy games that have a special place in your heart.

I love some janky economic games, like Industry Giant II. So rigid, so hard and with a terrible graphics engine but I liked it

Keith Courage, the original TG-16 pack-in. Not a great game. It still has a place in my heart, nonetheless. What about you, AppleQueso? You posted the question but then didn't offer an answer. Bad form!

I'll edit that into the OP

Inspiration!
Pit-Fighter on Genesis, which I don't think is a "crappy" game, but I'm in the minority on that.
Loved it at the arcade, loved bringing it home to my console. For my seventh grade science project I had friends come over, take a series of hand to eye coordination tests, play Pt Fighter for a half hour, and take them again. Was a great scheme to play video games all day long.

I liked Bad Dudes back in the day. I never knew it was regarded as a "bad game" until I kept seeing it pop up on "Worst NES Games" type lists on the internet. I still play it from time to time.
Wrath of the Black Manta is a pretty mediocre ninja game (especially compared to giants like Ninja Gaiden) but I had a blast with it growing up. There's lots of dialogue and some exploration and puzzle-solving elements. I'd like to finish it someday.
Cobra Command is an old Data East shmup with some pretty poor controls. I really like the hostage-saving aspects of it though, and I even wrote lyrics to go along with the title screen theme song.

This is really hard. As a general rule, I had really good taste as a kid. My favorite games for the SNES when the SNES was still current were Donkey Kong Country 1-3 and A Link to the Past...
I might have to go with Kung Fu on the NES though. While it's not really all that bad of a game, I just do not like it today. At all. It was the first video game that I played at my now best friend's house when I was really little. I remember it very fondly.

I still have my cib copy of Bad Dudes, in mint condition.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I liked Bad Dudes back in the day.
I LOVED the arcade game, and like Pit Fighter I didn't care if it was a bad port, I had a freaking arcade game in my own (actually my parent's) home! That I could play whenever I wanted to!
I didn't care that the gameplay was different from the arcade, that two-player wasn't simultaneous, and that when a character said "I"m Bad!" it sounded more like "Grab bag!"; it was awesome to have an arcade game at home. Same with TMNT The Arcade Game.

I really like Croc, which beyond some neat music and nice graphics for the time, is incredibly clunky to play and just not all that fun.
I also liked Bomberman Racing on the PS1...
