So what actually happened with the release of this game? It seems like it got seriously botched somewhere along the line.
Does anyone have the skinny on this? All I have seen is rumor and speculation ranging from GameStop and/or Nintendo incompetence to conspiracy theories designed to push the sale of digital copies of the game.
All I know for sure is that a physical copy of the game is virtually unobtanium right now....

I actually saw a new story the other day on it. It might have been on Joystiq. Basically they needed to push the release data back a couple weeks but it was too late. Some had already shipped. The stores that didn't get any will in fact get some over the next couple weeks. I think the bundle was the only thing that was actually limited release. You should easily be able to pick up the game by the end of Feb.
