Super Mario Family Tree Infographic

Post by Retronick »

So I created an infographic that includes most of Mario's in-game appearances from 1981-1996. Thought I'd see what the RackeyBoy community thought of it.

Thanks! Would love to hear your feedback!

Ha! No, I'm not quite that dedicated. Living in the technological wonderland that we do I was able to pull most of the sprites and information from Google.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen as much truth in a quote as I see in the one under your handle. Bubsy was awful.

I always wanted to do something like this, but never had the time or patience to put the idea into effect. Besides the point, I'd kill to have a huge poster of this hanging on the wall of my room.

 Very nice and informative! I especially like the little Fun Facts boxes at each level, interesting about the possible gun for Mario Bros Arcade. I wonder how that would have panned out for later games, the fire spitball in the NES for example.

Will there be a volume two for the later games?

Thanks! It was one of those things I'd always really wanted to do. Just one of those things that you need to put your head down and dedicate the time to. I'm satisfied with the result, but it's definitely less ambitious than my original plan.

I'd love to have a poster of it too, but I doubt I'd be able to find a pro-printer willing to print something with that much copy-written material on it XD.

There will be a volume 2 once I get the time freed up. I put a ton of stuff on the back burner to work on this one and now everything's catching up with me at once.

Thank you for the kudos! There's always more stuff coming down the pipe.

Awesome! I'll try and make sure we get the next infographic up in the next month or so.
