...haha was just about to say "show outline in DoggCatcher app says the show starts with a remix of "Lucifer." Did you guys just aim to make an episode just to appease me?"

Note to self for next time: "Do not leave research to podcast presenters"

Thanks for the mention at least, and I'm glad my topic actually fit with the Sega theme as a whole :)

Well to be fair it was the day of recording. So little time to research. And it isn't readily available info... neat topic but I imagined most of it was covered in that thread already.

Great podcast guys, as always. Jmustang, Vanquish really is quite enjoyable and worth picking up. Great

As to the Sega question, I don't know if it's a general sentiment about those gamers that loved Sega before the Dreamcast, find dissatisfaction with Sega now. Most of the issue I find with Sega now is their lack of promotion on titles that are nearing release. It often feels Sega does not invest adequately to making sure a game launches successfully, which maybe is something we Sega supporters need to come to terms with. It's not like we haven't seen the writing on the wall, but Sega might be hard pressed to have AAA titles as frequently as we've expected in the past. They produce several good titles a year, some of them being new IP's.

More of a question that in a roundabout way is providing some constructive feedback: Do you teleconference this podcast when you're recording? I notice a few times where you accidentally interrupt each other. It's something you could easily erase with a little bit of editing, but I was just curious. It's also not that big of a deal.

I'd like to hear what noise thinks about this subject.

On the subject of Nintendo charging for a Wii U emulation update:

It is a fair comparison to the Vita's emulation capabilities. The PS1 Vita emulator has been changed to support button mapping to the front and rear touch screen (and the second analog stick, IIRC). How much does it cost for these new features? NOTHING.

So, yes, Nintendo is charging for slight software modifications while Sony charges nothing. You bought the game; you get the new emulator as far as Sony is concerned.

... and you're paying to stream video to the Wii U pad... even though that is touted as the defining feature of the system. WTF.

I just chalked it up to simply Nintendo being bad at this sort of thing and not really planning ahead.

Also Super Monkey Ball rules,
