My step-brother gave me his RROD Xbox 360 after he procuring himself a new one. I gutted it and re-seated both heat sinks. I was able to get it working, but now I'm at a lost trying to find a good game to play (too many to narrow down by myself). I've alway had a PS system, so for the most part I have not played many 360 exclusives.
So my question: "Can you suggest me an exclusive title from the Xbox 360 library (2005 -> 2013) that you found enjoyable and found yourself going back too ?"
I have already played Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake and own Gears 1 & 2 (Yet to be played).
P.S: Preferably no Sports or Racing games.
Thanks.
Single player Xbox 360 exclusive still worth playing

If you don't mind downloadable games I'd suggest Shadow Complex. It's a 2.5d metroidvania and it's probably my favorite 360 game.

There's always Dead Rising, Raiden IV, Project Sylpheed, WarTech, Crackdown, Last Remnant (Not exclusive), Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and Tales of Vesperia ... because for some reason they won't release the PS3 version here. Also, not exclusive, but Condemned (first one) is a really interesting game.

if you like shmups, almost all these are exclusives: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =9&t=22878
Past that, there's really not very much at retail for the 360 that is an exclusive:
Halo series
Konami Classics Collections (2 volumes)
Qubed Collection (includes Rez HD)
Crackdown 1 and 2 (meh)
Kameo (good?)
Fable series (good?)
Unlike with the PS3, the VAST majority of exclusives for the console are available only via digital distribution.
Peruse this, too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:X ... only_games

Haha... wow, that's it? That list puts things in perspective.
PS3 probably has more but still not a lot either. Exclusives are definitely kind of a thing of the past, though I guess Nintendo still keeps it up with all their IP's and 2nd party devs.

I'm not crazy for shmups, but I really liked Akai Katana, Dodonpachi Resurrection, Deathsmiles, and Otomedius Excellent.
Tales of Vesperia is probably the best exclusive JRPG.

that list excludes racing games (PGR, Forza) and Gears per the OP. I also missed a few Cronozilla mentioned.Xeogred wrote:Haha... wow, that's it? That list puts things in perspective.

At quck glance, somewhere around 1/3-1/2 of those have physical releases.

Don't you think it would be interesting to comb through that list and narrow it down further? From where it stands, this list makes it hard to frame how many titles exist in a retail copy. Still, 246 exclusives isn't anything to shake your head at. It would be saying something entirely different if that list dwindled to say, 50.

I'm going to do the opposite and tell you some exclusives that were well received upon release, but aren't really worth playing today: GRAW 1 and 2. They haven't aged so well, and TBH a big part of the reason they got such a good reception (or at least, the first one) is because there were hardly any good truly next-gen titles on 360 yet back in April '06.

I guess this will keep me a bit busy for the time being.
List:
Shadow Complex
Dead Rising
Blue Dragon
Kameo: Elements of Power
The Witcher 2
Trials Evolution
