Resident Evil 2 is too short!

Post by RCBH928 »

Dont you think?
I finally got to finish this game that I dreamt about since I first got a bootlegged copy for my PSX and it got stuck by the time I went into the shop at the start of the game.

To my amazment this game was very very short, when it was over it told me that I played for 4:37 minutes . I did play on easy but I never got stuck except for 1 item I figured all the other puzzles. I just realized that I have a ton of weapons and other weapons I did not use because I was waiting for bigger bosses.

I did play RE1 on GC and it was like at least 12 hours , and bosses were worth while. In RE2 there was no bosses I can recall except for the alligator that dies with a press of a button. When I met the final boss I really thought this was just a little thing to hold me back , I didnt even consider it a mini boss.

There was some other stuff that I do not see why was it there like the flare gun.

What are your thoughts on RE 2 and are RE 0 , 3 , and 4 this short?
please no spoilers I havent played them yet

Wtf?

This game is longer than that.

There are two discs to this game.

Although both are perfectly playable as standalone discs, you need to finish one game and use the save file from one beaten game to play the other.

You still have to see the multiple transformations of William birkin. There are some boss battles with him

RE2 was meant to be played multiple times. Did you beat the game with all characters? Did you unlock Akuma??
Akuma is an old joke from back in the PSM days (April Fools Issue)

If I remember correctly, RE2 has plenty to do once you've breezed through -- it's meant to be replayed.

Yeah man you have to play through Claires disc to see the other half of the game. 10 hours for everything on easy does sound about right though...

Each character has separate first playthroughs, and separate second playthroughs with different perspectives. So there's really 4 separate playthroughs in RE2. You get a lot for your money.

This is true here, play as one character then the other. Then start with the opposite character and switch to the other, plus don't forget Hunk.

I love RE 2 so much, topnotch game there.

What's this Hunk story you speak of? Is this something on the Dreamcast and Gamecube re-releases?

It's on the original release, 5th playthrough I believe.
