Hey all, I have a pre-owned Sega Saturn winging it's way to me, along with Virtua Fighter 2 and Space Hulk.
I'm looking for recommendations for games, accessories, etc... I already have my eye on a Action Replay Plus 4M and Guardian Heroes. What else should I be looking for?
Saturn Recommendations?

Re: Saturn Recommendations?
How much money are you willing to spend?
I'd spend the money on a modchip and an Action Replay. The ability to play all the best Saturn games without having spending all the time and money to do so.

^^^what he said x1000 lol
I looooovvvvee my Saturn but the cost of the stateside good games have done nothing but gone up. I was lucky enough to get a majority of my games when the stuff wasn't retardedly high. Can't say I can reconmend the Saturn if you are not heavy in the wallet or just get the 4 in 1 and buy imports.

Yes, find any game that you can before going the burn/import route. You'll find lots of sports games at first, but you will find some other stuff eventually.MulishaSoldier929 wrote:^^^what he said x1000 lol

I got most of my collection back in the early 2000's I would balk now at the prices of games that I paid about 3 bucks back in 2002.
You may have to settle for just disc only. You could get dvd cases and print out your own labels.
Be on the lookout in thrift stores and stuff.
The games may be mixed in with CDs of various types. Sometimes they are mixed in with Sega CD games.
Also with some searching here, you can find other peoples threads on the same subject.

If you can read Japanese Grandia and the Lunar games are essential imports.

Re: Saturn Recommendations?
I only need a handful of games until my personal Saturn collection is complete(NA collection, haven't even gotten into imports yet) but I am seriously debating on whether to finish it or not. One of the games I need yet is the original House of the Dead. Just a quick glance at ebay and I'm looking at $100-$150! Tho I'm sure its an awesome game, that is just plain ridiculous.
I'm hoping that much like the housing bubble, the Saturn game pricing bubble burst and we can all go on with playing good reasonably priced games

Two Games not mentioned:
Baku Baku - An awesome block falling puzzle game
Dynamite Deka/Diehard Arcade - The best 3d beatemup that has nothing to do with Diehard whatsoever.

What do you mean it has nothing to do with Die Hard? You don't remember the part where John McClane beats the shit out of robots?fastbilly1 wrote: Dynamite Deka/Diehard Arcade - The best 3d beatemup that has nothing to do with Diehard whatsoever.
