What (RETRO) systems do you plan to buy in 2013

Post by TheRev »

I hope to get by years end a Super Famicom (with an SNES adapter even though they are a pain in the ass to find) A regular Famicom and a complete Genesis/32x/Sega CD (model 1 Sega CD if I can find one they seem to be a bitch to find)

so those on top of getting more Saturn/Dreamcast/N64 games.

How about the rest of you? RETRO consoles... so if you say Wii U I will track you down and kick you in the balls.

None! :P

The Ouya I bought will likely turn into an emulation box, if that counts?

I guess it counts. Your balls will remain unkicked.

I might check the Ouya out too if the price for the games are right and it has enough shmups.

I bought a Wii U ;)

But seriously, if I do get a new retro console this year it'll likely either be a Mega CD or a Wonderswan.

I need a SNES... it's getting embarrassing at this point that I don't have one. I even have a couple of games for it and a converter that lets me play famicom games, but no console.

If the craigslist deal I have scheduled for tomorrow doesn't go sour, I should end up with an Intellivision.

I've also been thinking of picking up an Atari 7800 mid-year.

I'd also like to snag a MVS-to-AES converter - not a "console" per se, but it will open up an entire new library of games for me to play.

None. I'm pretty satisfied with the ones I have now. I already feel like I have too many right now, and I wouldn't wanna rack it up any further.

Well, already picked up a DSi XL - which was a glaring gap in my collection. The only retro system I picked up in 2012 was an Atari 7800 as 2011 was a big collecting year for me.

For this year, I'd love to get a CDX and maybe a Jaguar. There's so little room left at this point though. I already kickstarted the Ouya so that may be the MAME setup I'm also lacking.

Hopefully I can snag a Saturn and a mod chip, that would be great.
