Gold Nunchuk removed from Club Nintendo site.

Edit: They put it back up. Nevermind!

I'm sure most of us know that the gold nunchuk was going to return in January this year. Many sources including the club nintendo website itself said so.

But, if you check their site now, it's gone. It's not even listed under "Currently Unavailable".

So does this mean that it sold out incredibly fast and Nintendo just decided to remove it from the site completely? Or was it cancelled? Was anyone able to get it in the past few days?

I was lucky enough to get it in November.

I passed, its just a flat gold painted version of a regular Nunchuck, an easy mod with a can of Krylon plastic paint. Where are all the unique stuff to "buy" such as the Classic Controller compatible SNES pad that was available to the Japanese market! I prefer the smooth action of a Nyco Karma Nunchuck anyways that does not have those silly hexagon stops.

That's not the point! Besides, the paint is actually composed of Princess Zelda's tears and Hyrule sunshine.

I would feel really dumb if it turned out that it came back, people bought it, then Nintendo removed it. I haven't been keeping track recently. Has anyone ordered it this year?

I'm going to make money one day claiming these nunchucks are rare controllers... but in reality, they will be kryloned normal controllers. I'LL BE RICH.

The nunchuck is listed under "Currently Unavailable" when I log in and look at it.

Personally, I've been passing on it. It kind of bothers me that they'd go through the effort of molding a nunchuck with the Zelda gold plastic ... but still give the cable the standard white.

My feelings exactly. The white cord just makes it look stupid. I've got enough coins in my account (almost) to get two if I wanted -- but honestly, it looks cheap and the white cable bugs the crap out of me. I'm much happier with the Super Famicom controller I got from the Japanese Club Nintendo that hooks in to the Wii Remote. A much higher quality and more useful product.

The Gold Nunchuck is available again for 900 points.

That white cord bothers me as well. I have enough points for it but I'm not sure if I want that or if I should get one of the other big prizes like the Hanafuda cards, G&W Ball, or G&W 1 for the DS since I already have 2. Any suggestions? Or should I continue hoping something really neat and interesting comes out at some point?
