Looked for a thread on this and didn't see it...didn't find any help on google either, so apologies in advance for a thread that may only require one reply.
My youngest sons 3DS came with Mario 3D Land installed. He went to play it last night and couldn't find it. I then looked for about 20 minutes to see if he accidentally deleted it and could not find anything in his history. He did download some Dinosaur humor app / game thingy for free, which shows as his last action, but nothing about Mario 3D Land.
-Anyone else have this happen?
-Is it possible to delete it from the system? If so, is there a way to get it back? (Nintendo must realize young kids use these systems, I have to think the game is not gone - gone)
-Please confirm the pre-installed game is not actually pre-installed on the included SD card!?!!11?...because then they are just begging for piracy, no?
Is there a way to recover pre-installed 3DS games?
Re: Is there a way to recover pre-installed 3DS games?
Go into your download history in the eShop -- you should be able to redownload it from there. Nintendo licenses the 3DS by system, and all the systems that ship with pre-installed titles have the license for that particular title installed on the unit. Redownloading should never be an issue.
