nintendo ds vs Ds lite

Post by nocturnalnerd »

Ok me and my sister(shes 10) are both getting ds's for christmas. My parents and I already have a white ds lite in box with 2 games that we bought off craigslist for $100. I saw an original ds for $70. Is the original ds that bad.

I like the buttons of the original DS better, the screens are MUCH better on the lite, battery life is also better, the lite is also much more portable.

If I remember correctly, the DS Lite's got some backlighting for screens that the original didn't have.

Well put.
The only complaint about the Lite is the buttons.
But most of my favorite games rely on the stylus more.

What the heck is the PSP slim? I saw one in a catalogue of a local game store and couldn't tell the difference. I haven't bothered looking into it further becauseI have little interest in the PSP.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

It's thinner and lighter in weight.

Oh man, wish I could magically exchange my DS fat for a Lite one if the screen is that much better.

buying a Lite and an R4 is one of the best gaming investments I've ever made. One of the things I hated most about the original DS is the cheap plastic feel it had and how it snapped closed like a fat persons thighs. The only problem I have with the Lite is the buttons, specifically the shoulder buttons. I don't know they just don't feel right, but it doesn't really matter since I basically just play Taiko no Tatsujin DS and Wario Ware.
