Good 3rd Party GameCube Controller &Broken Controller Repair

Post by PeNguinn97 »

Hello everyone,

I've got two questions.
1. Does anyone know of a good 3rd party Gamecube controller? Where is a good place to buy official controllers that aren't worn out? :?

2. I have 2 broken GameCube controllers.
I have a wired official one that has a broken analog stick. The controller will barely let you walk forward, and it is really wobbly.
I also foolishly bought a MadCatz wireless controller a while back. :( The analog stick seems to have a dead zone where it is really insensitive.
What would be the best way to fix these controllers? I have a broken Logitech gamepad that has 2 good analog sticks. Could I easily sauter those in as replacements?
Here is a video of the problems: (not sure how to embed)

Thanks for your help!

I have seen that someone is making GCN controllers now with the original mold, minus the Nintendo symbol. I have checked one out and it does not look like a knock off or anything, I am pretty convinced they bought the mold from whatever company was making them. You may want to give one of these a shot.
