Best Nintendo Decisions

Post by sosoyo180 »

About half a year ago I sold my Sega Genesis model 1 with some games for a Super Nintendo and some great games. It was one of my best Nintendo-related decisions I ever made as a gamer.

What decisions do you look back on with pride?

I hope to someday get another Genesis but my Super Nintendo is treating me just fine.

...so this thread is about "us" making the best decision, and not Nintendo necessary.

well my best decision relating a Nintendo product would be keeping my original N64 (all these years) and installing a RGB to it.

Buying the Wii U has turned out to be one of the best decisions regarding Nintendo I've made. Honestly, I love that thing so far.

Yeah, I probably should have made that clearer.. but you seem to have gotten the gist of things.

So just to clarify, it's the decision that YOU made.

This makes me very sad inside.

I hope you will rediscover the Genesis someday because I strongly feel the two consoles are not a "one or the other" decision.

I totally agree with you, one day I shall have a Genesis and a Super Nintendo and they will live with one another in harmony!

But I kept some of my favourite Genesis games till that day comes, like Strider, Hyperstone Heist, Ristar and Shaq Fu for some reason.

You know, you can typically find a genesis for sale on here for $15-$20. They arent a cost prohibitive console.

Yes I'm surprised you were able to buy a SNES with the money you got from selling a Genesis (unless it was a really nice non-TMSS one).

There's a lot of different choices and most of them are dirt cheap.

Owning a Genesis is absolutely essential, just not SNES desert island essential.

Undoubtedly, my best Nintendo decision has been the grueling process of collecting tidy CIB; NES, SNES, and 64 games. It's all about the games, after all, but having those glorious boxes and manuals from my childhood gives me tingles.

Same here. I am having the most fun I've had with a console in a while.
