I'm disappointed. There's some interesting stuff there, but mostly they're fluff and hyperbole. What? FFIV had photorealistic backgrounds? Why didn't I notice that at the time? Because it didn't. It's hyperbole.

For some reason I get really pissed about no-content fluff pieces like that, particularly when they are factually inaccurate and pandering to fans.

Way to spoil an otherwise fine 20th anniversary, 1up! Thanks!

Well damn, Racket there goes the big surprise, ohwell. I still have a couple tricks in the article. I will try to get you my cut tonight.

Since most of yall have no idea. Ive been working on an article about this since October. But due to people not getting back with me, ie all but a handful of the 100+ people I asked questions to, and computer problems, I have not had a chance to finish it until recently. Well screwem, atleast we have a good foreword - that has to count for something.

Makes me think I do not want to gather screen shots from the other versions - I planed to do all versions except cellphone and PSP - since I do not have either, but my MSX copy is toast, so it would be NES, WSC, PSX, and GBA. I did both NES and GBA, then had a harddrive crash, now I have done NES and most of GBA. Yeah overzealous and not really worth it huh?

Don't worry about it.
The way I look at it, the articles on other places, will just help you see what areas you might have missed or what you could improve on.

BTW, I haven't seen any FF thing on Digg yet, and we'll see if we can get you on there again

I'd say go ahead and put out the article. It's probably more informative and accurate than the 1up fluff.

Eh I dunno Marurun, looks like I hit a nerve not giving the limelight to FFVII and FFX when they were not even the focus of the article...

Hopefully I did not drag the sites credibility down. Digg would like to make me think otherwise.
