Post a random concept for a game

This thread is sort of inspired by the Peter Molydeux twitter account where he posts crazy game concepts as a parody of Peter Molyneux. His ideas are often funny or ridiculous, but occassionally brilliant.

Examples include:
"Game where final boss walks right next to you but you're both separated by an invisible wall? By the time the wall opens you're in love."

" Survival horror in which a family are in a pitch dark castle. You have a flashlight but if the 1 year old baby isn't holding it they cry."


Just post some kooky, silly, or original idea for a game concept.

FPS where two military units are engaged in battle. Your character dies or is immobilized in one shot. If you are killed, you suddenly control a new character in the battle. Each new character has a different running internal dialogue. You fight until one unit has either had every soldier killed or they surrender.

That's the basic gameplay idea. It was a neat idea, and a shame that this was AFAIK the only game that ever tried it.

You are a new recruit for the MOS seas team, the maters of sea. You go down in the sub too do some sea exploring, when the subs naviagtion system goes down, it crashes, and you & the 33 remaining crew members wake up in Atlantis, James lorook realizes he isnt alone in atlantis, and the other members are acting strange, having too shoot one of your own crew members for becoming a canibal was hard, but was neccessary said capten lagoon, you go back on the sub, with 30 members left 4 stayed behind becuase they died. Then the city blows up as the sub leaves, and you realize that there were only 33 crew members registered still alive, someone on board isnt from around here, The whole ship is infected by a virus, and people start going insane, they seal off parts of the sub, too prevent craziness, james larook finds the captain dead, and realizes in order to warn the usa that they are carrying a deadly disease, he will have to go through the vents too send the transmition. Having all the members in his radio, he manages to get together with 6 of them, 26 still alive based on a rough estimate. you & 3 go through one vent, the other 3 go through the other vent. You meat up with sara larmp, one of the nurse, she says that the restrains wouldnt hold the sick patients, and she has the room sealed off. Mike, stayed behind to help her out, and you and Greg continue, you get a incoming message from janice rose, she says that she & the other 2 guys had been attacked by one of the members & cant think straight, A few seconds later james & greg here screems, and decide to take a different route there. Greg and Mike see a group of 5 people die underneath them from the vents. Mike sent a message, and said he had too kill the nurse, becuase she tried to kill him, you & greg wait for mike, when greg says sorry, I cant risk you finding out, and he says that he is happy they sent him free from atlantis, Mike comes, and saves James. Greg dissolves, and dissapears. While looking at transmitions, you realize that this is just the beggining.

A 2.5D sidescroller beat'n up where you use the power glove as a weapon (imagine hellboy but instead of a giant stone hand is the power glove) you can input cheat codes on the glove like the konami code and convert the game into a shooter.

I've had this one in my head for a while.

You are a gamer that is literally insane. Forevermore you are in a Mental Institution. You imagine things in your room and the day to day life in the nut house you make it like your life is a game. You know you are crazy and you remember the games you used to play and to make the best of a bad situation you make your life a game.

This can be an indie game where many people/programmers can contribute "Levels"

Since the main character is very imaginative and thinks his life is a game, you can include many generes.

His trip to the kitchen to eat could be a stealth game.

A trip to the doctor's evaluation (to see if you're cured) Could result in a wrestling match.

Trying to escape his straight Jacket could be a puzzle game.

He could team up with a fellow crazy person in the lounge area, and do a sidescroller contra like game.

He's getting electroshock therapy and he treats it like a rhythm game.

The caretakers could be zombies and you are in a survival horror game.

He is given some shots/meds and he imagines himself a videogame mascot with his own platformer game.

Theres lots of ways to go with this. You would think that the game could have no real goal. It would be like a bunch of mini games. But there would be some subtle clues to the game. Some realizations, psycological stuff, and a final twist ending to make it more meta.

This game could come out in installments.
