xbox live with an oxbox?

I was told by a few people that you can go xbox live with the original xbox. Does anyon have proof of this or can tell me if it's true or not. Thanks

Nope. It was taken down in April 2010, and celebrated with one last Halo 2 event.

Yes, there are still private servers, but nothing official at this point. Still, the xbox is far from dead. It enjoys one of the most active homebrew communities as it is now incredibly open source, understood, and still even after all these years relatively powerful. Plus it's got that harddrive, the perfect solution for running homebrew.
