So you go on a trip and have me watch your dogs.

So you go on a trip and have me watch your dogs.

Yep, you're an owner of 4 loud mini daschunds, which are all cute. And you just CANT ask your ROOM MATE to feed them when you're gone for a week.

You kinda dump them all on me, and one morning, I go into my computer room to check my email, and I see one of your dogs taking a piss on the keyboard of my laptop. The computer is covered in dog urine, (even though the dogs know how to tell their humans they need to go out and potty) and it is completely shot.

Who is going to foot the bill on the new/replacement laptop?

I don't stand for that shit, so it's not me. It's my sister. Her friend (who always takes advantage of her) had her watch them.

Where was the laptop? On the floor? On a table?

Yeah, it seems that the owner should pay out for a new laptop. The kennel would have been cheaper.

I'm confused.

Did you or your Sister agree to watch the dogs?

@Luke it was my sister this happened to.

@gtm my sister has an office so I'm just about positive it was sitting on her desk. Daschunds have back problems, so she has these little steps that she makes for them to get onto her bed, or the couch, etc. She's got 4 of her own, so there's 8 dogs in her house at this very moment. I'm pretty sure the dog climed onto her chair, then her desk, and did the peed. (lol instead of deed)

Okay so your Sister agreed to watch the dogs and it was her laptop that was ruined.

When you agree to watch an extra four dogs, you take that risk. Sorry, but that's on your Sister. If you don't have the time to watch the dogs 24/7 and don't keep them in a kennel, don't agree to watch the dogs. It's the same as baby sitting: Prepare for major inconveniences.

I once pet sitted for a friend who promised his dog was house trained. Wasn't a half hour before that little shit took one.

It sucks full Hoover what happened to the laptop, but you take on a ton of responsibility by adding four extra dogs into your house.

I'm with Luke. When she let the dogs into the house and agreed to care for them, from there on out everything is on her. If you don't want to deal with dogs relieving themselves in your house (which pretty much all dogs are extremely prone to do so in a new environment), don't let them in.

It's pretty crazy the dog actually pissed on the laptop, but dems the brakes.

Still, I would bring it to the attention of the owner. If she offers to replace the laptop, I wouldn't turn her down.
