Pier Solar HD

Post by Kahokian »

So I just found out Pier Solar is coming out in HD. I also was browsing the site and noticed they still have Pier Solar Reprint-EP. The description says you get the actual game but I was just thrown off by the EP. I dont want to drop 70 bucks for some music. Has anyone bought this buy chance? and do you get the actual GAME....I have read a ton of excellent things about this game and I really want a physical copy.

Thanks, help a brother out!

Yes it's the actual cart. And you can burn the enhanced audio disc if you have a sega cd.

Pretty sure only the Sega Dreamcast and PC/MAC/360 versions are available for the 49$ price tag - the Sega genesis version is a reprinted edition and that reward is listed at 500$. I'm personally considering the DC CE version at 125...

Well that's awesome that many more people will get to play the game, but that sure does squash the exclusivity of it!

I'm kind of torn on this announcement. On the one hand Pier Solar is an awesome game and an HD remake is really well-deserved. But on the other I feel that their time would be better spent developing a new title instead, perhaps even a sequel. What do you guys think?

Somebody tell me this... just how good is Pier Solar? I've been thinking about purchasing a Genesis copy for some time.

They're already working on a new game.

I'd rather have the Genesis/MD cartridge. I've seen images of this "HD" version and it looks like crap. The pixelated 16-bit characters stand out like a sore thumb on top of high resolution backgrounds. Plus, I'd rather have the chiptunes anyway.

Watermelon is making a new game, two new games actually ProjectN and ProjectY, ProjectN being an RPG beat-em up for Sega Genesis and ProjectY is unknown but it for the Super Nintendo.
