A Small Retail Collection

Post by BumbleChump »

When I was growing up, my family only bought Sega consoles and games. Every other kid on the block had Super Nintendo, N64, Playstation, but me and my sister had Sega up until the end. I guess you could say we were loyal to the brand. (Though we did eventually get Playstation and Nintendo when Sega died) 95% of my small collection was bought at retail when it was in stores. I don't have much, but there's something at the end that I am sure nearly no one has.

^I also collected lots of Parappa and Um Jammer Lammy Items, not to mention...^

^The UJL-2000 Guitar! The rarest and most valuable item I own. It took 3 years of daily searching the internet for this. This is the guitar that the main character in Um Jammer Lammy uses, and it's a real working guitar. It was only sold in Japan in Fall of 1999 for 30,000 yen to promote the game. To my knowledge, there are only 5 of these in the U.S. including mine.

Nice collection! You have some quality titles there, namely the Working Designs and Shining series games. That guitar is a pretty sweet find. The Saturn and N64 look like they're about to jump though. Also, why do you have three copies of Sonic CD? Maybe you could donate one to a Sonic CD-less gamer, such as myself? :)

We got the first copy with the console, but the SegaCD ruined the disc. So 10 years later I got one on ebay for $10. Later still, I found a copy at some video store for $5 and bought it. One of them is complete, one has no manual/front casing, and the third one is scratched badly. I don't think you'd want those.

Nintendo has been holding events called the "WiiU Experience" around the country for a few months now for Club Nintendo members, and they handed out free water, cookies with the WiiU logo on them, and blue cream soda to tie into the blue theme of the WiiU. I grabbed a few cause they're cool! (well, room temperature now)

I love your collection. It's clean with just a few awesome games for each console. The guitar is super awesome, there a matching bass by chance?

You need to get larger shelves or place your Genesis+Sega CD and Saturn in some other, safer place!
