Well it had to be mentioned here eventually..

The only thing that this "story" and comments like yours prove is that much of the video game community is full of overly-zealous man-children who have an over-inflated sense of the significance of their hobby and the "news media" surrounding it.Pulsar_t wrote: I for one am glad the bitch got outed the way she had.
Another bit of nonsense is the way that the OP posted a link to a story without any real comments what the story is about and what's the issue. Very weak post.dsheinem wrote: This is inane and representative of the most pervasive idiocy in online gaming communites, and I actually wish you wouldn't have brought this nonsense here.

I don't think you quite gather what's going on. Said journalist could have gotten a PS3 on a raffle.dsheinem wrote:The only thing that this "story" and comments like yours prove is that much of the video game community is full of overly-zealous man-children who have an over-inflated sense of the significance of their hobby and the "news media" surrounding it.Pulsar_t wrote: I for one am glad the bitch got outed the way she had.
The fact that the woman in question worked for Square Enix at one time (as a consultant) and wrote a review of Deus Ex: HR at another is not some major scandal that signifies how corrupt games "journalism" (lol!) is, in fact it isn't even evidence of any conflict of interest.

Next you are going to tell me that people who review movies and albums get those for free, attend industry events with frequency, and have often spent time working in the industries they write about. Preposterous! I bet you expect me to believe that political commentators have worked in campaigns, too?!jfrost wrote:I don't think you quite gather what's going on. This shakes my belief in the system as whole.
Also this just in: reviewers get games for free.
Meh, my love for Doritos has been way down since they got rid of Fiery Habanero.Pulsar_t wrote:gracey wrote:Nothing new here, this post should be deleted.![]()
On a slightly related note Doritos actually taste good.
