Using Turbo Controllers When You Were A Kid....

Just a question: when you all were kids and were playing games with a friend, was there ever a time when you were winning a game and you happened to be using a turbo controller and your friend got mad at you and said you were only winning because you had the turbo controller? Even if you weren't using turbo?

I remember this happening to me several times, lol.

I also remember my friend and I were playing the terrible Double Dragon I "vs" mode and I kept winning because I would continuously kick and he would run into me and take damage. He got mad at me and told our mom's that I kept kicking him, not telling them that it was in a video game and I got in trouble for kicking him

I think about this from time to time and crack up, some 24 years later.

I only used Turbo Controllers for track and field games and other button-mashers. They never seemed to help much in action games.

I do consider my self a kid. I probably didn't make clear what I maent. I meant the annoyance was that it implies that all retrogamers grew up in the 70s-90s. It's just annoying that apparently i'm not a retrogamer because I was born too late.
