...a Nintendo e-Reader!
Along with Balloon Fight and Excitebike.
So what's the deal with this thing? Looks like all the cards contain ports of old NES titles that play on the GBA when scanned. Most games can be found pretty cheaply so I think I'll scoop up a few more.
I like obscure add-ons, so I can't believe I didn't pick this up sooner. Anyone else own one?
So on a whim I bought...

The main reason to own one is to play the extra stages of Mario 3.

Are the extra stages really that good?
First-party Nintendo GBA games are frustratingly expensive.

I've got one too. I actually bought one back when it came out for some reason. Guess Nintendo Power really suckered me in on that one.
Not a whole lot of point to the thing, but eh I guess it has novelty value.
...I just remembered that I have a GBA to Gamecube controller adapter. I know I have a few e-reader cards lying around, I wonder if I have any Animal Crossing cards?

The games take a bit to load but interesting. Look for the obscure cards such as Game Watch, Mario Party and Animal Crossing ECards, simple games but unique as only available on the EReader.

as far as the NES games go on e-Reader, I'm pretty sure Urban Champ is the only one that wasn't later ported to GBA. And Urban Champ sucks.

I have one for the Animal Crossing cards.
But the only AC cards I have are still sealed in the pack... I just can't find it in myself to open it. It's part of the first print series, too. I'll have to buy some loose cards someday.

I've always thought of getting one... How much did yours cost?

But the extra SMB3 levels aren't on the GBA release, right?noiseredux wrote:as far as the NES games go on e-Reader, I'm pretty sure Urban Champ is the only one that wasn't later ported to GBA. And Urban Champ sucks.
