Alone in the Dark: One-Eyed Jack's Revenge - Saturn or PS1?

So, this being October, I've been on a bit of a survival horror binge.

One title that captured my attention is Alone in the Dark: One-Eyed Jack's Revenge.

I see that's it's available for both the Saturn and PlayStation.

Any reason to pick up the Saturn version over the PlayStation version?

(I'm assuming that since this a 3D title, the answer is "no", but I figured I'd ask anyway.)

I played this on the Saturn about a year ago and found it to be nigh unplayable. It was too hard for me to distinguish the player from the background sometimes. It also looked like ass. Haven't tried the PS1 version.

You could blame that on me stark.

I think the ps1 version is a tad better, but you have to just enjoy games period to wanna play this one. I love the first alone in the dark for some reason, not the greatest horror franchise but still cult status.

Whichever is cheaper I say go for.

I first played Alone in the Dark on the PC and loved it, I didn't play on console until this year, so I might be slightly out-of-touch with how it looked to the first time player.

Finished the game on PS1 when I was younger.
