PSVITA issue
I have a PSVITA with which the home button doesn't work. The only way I can get back to the home screen is to hold the power button. Additionally, when the vita goes to sleep, I turn it on, and the "Power off?" screen pops up, and it shuts off. What do I do

Considering that it's not actually possible to own a Vita that's more than one year old, take advantage of the one year warranty that you get with the device.Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) warrants to the original purchaser that each of the constituent products of this PS Vita system shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase (the "Warranty Period").

Yes. Spilling water on any electronic device will cause problems. I deal with liquid damaged phones and laptops on a daily basis at work.. You may still want to send it in and hope for the best.Gooseberrysoda wrote:The problem may have been caused by my spilling water on it

If they see it's moist inside they, of course, won't honor the warranty. Put it in a sealed bag of dry, uncooked rice to draw and absorb some of the moisture. Worth a shot. This worked for my dad who dropped his iphone in a kiddie pool while he was playing with his granddaughter.

Re: PSVITA issue
You could have mentioned the water initially.
Put it in a bag of rice for a few days as suggested. Then send it in for your warranty coverage. Make sure you backup your content and keep your memory card.
