EDC, or what's in your pockets?

Post by StuntDouble »

I know this isn't a gadget forum, but I thought it would be interesting to see what the folks around here like to carry with them during their day. Do you just have a wallet and keys, or do you carry a knife or some sort of other gadget as well?

Here's what I had in my pockets while I was at work today:
Image
-Victorinox Pioneer.
-Spyderco Delica 4
-Coach leather wallet
-Car keys, house keys, work keys, Boba Fett and Victorinox Classic SD.

The Delica is just one of the 5 or 6 locking folders I like to choose from. If I'm not carrying the Delica, then it's usually a Spyderco Para-Military2 or Buck Bucklite. The Victorinox is always carried, it's just too useful to leave at home.

I have a cell phone, Ipod, and a camera, but they usually stay in my bag in the car.

So, what is everyone else carrying?

On an avarage day at work, I have in my pockets:

car keys
cell phone
wallet
box cutter
keys for the electronics department
telxon
maybe the keys to sporting goods
maybe a pack of gum
if on lunch or break, my name tag

I have to wear a belt to keep my pants up with all that weight. Every pocket is full.

BoringSupreez,

What's a Telxon? Is it another term for barcode scanner?

Ryan,

What kind of pocket knife do you carry?

Basically. It looks like a PDA, and it can act as a barcode scanner, handle site-to-store orders, and adjust stuff in our computer systems. It's pronounced "tell-zonn."

A Benchmade my grandpa bought me when I was 13. :) Was looking through the store and saw it when I was visiting them and wanted it but didn't have the $80? or so A week after I came back home from the trip I received it in the mail.

Very light and has proven quite durable. Needs cleaned though.

By the way, I'd avoid putting up a picture with a clear image of the teeth on any keys. Yeah someone's not likely to know where you live and use a locksmith to recreate a key after looking at a picture, but there are only so many heights for the bumps on keys. That's a pretty decent picture of that worn Kwikset one there.
