What Games Would You Most Like To Remix Musically?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What Games Would You Most Like To Remix Musically?

Post by racketboy »

Are there any games (old or new) that you'd like remix the soundtrack for?
This could be a simple remix of the original music or completely replace the music with something else...

I know Mozgus has done this with a few Dreamcast games....

Personally, I always dreamed of remixing Sonic CD...

Of course I love the Megaman, Contra, Castlevania music and many people have already done them but I think more is always good.
My choice would probably be a very hard rock or metal version of Y's music. :D

Sonic CD, subterrania and ToeJam & Earl. My three most favorite video game soundtracks... remixes would be sick as puppy blood!

I'd love to hear a full-blown house remix of One Must Fall 2097.
Wubba, wubba. I'm in the pink today, boy!

I just thought of another one... The SNES TMNT music was awesome and deserves a rock/metal tribute~ :D

I have long dreamed of River City Ransom redone with a real band, or of Faxanadu re-envisioned.

About a year ago me and my friend sampled Outrun, and Symphony of the Night and made some hip-hop tracks with it. Actually they ended up pretty good.

I've been considering replacing the music in SOTN with mostly stuff from the Vampire Hunter D scores, but considering how badly people wanted me dead for replacing the music in Capcom vs SNK 2, I can't imagine the efforts they would take to hunt me down for replacing the music in a game most often voted "Best Game Soundtrack EVAR!!!". It may very well be, but there's no harm in putting out an alternate version, that might get people back into the game...

Oh but, Contra, definitely. The original NES version, not arcade. If Konami could just take it, accurately port it, do away with sprite flickering and slowdown, possibly spruce up the graphics, and of course redo the whole soundtrack to be authentic metal renditions. I'd just skeet on that.

Mozgus, was that the one labeled something like "realistic remix" or something. I remember downloading a remixed dc game from dcforums and everyone was talking about how horrible the original tracks were, but how great the remixed version was...I'm thinking it was marvel v. capcom, though...
