Tokyo Jungle

Post by Gamerforlife »

I think this will be my next download when I finish Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit. It looks very original and seems to be winning over people who have played it. Always nice to see something unique in this day and age of sequels and rehashes

It's being described by some people as a GTA game with animals instead of people in a post apocalyptic setting where humans are gone

Oh hey it's this game, I remember it at some e3. I was wondering just the other day if it was ever going to come out.

This has been on my radar and I almost imported, very cool that it's getting localized.

From what I've seen, it plays very much like Cubivore on Gamecube. I don't see the GTA thing really.

It has some roguelike-like elements to it too.

yeah, some of what I'm reading supports that. I never been interested in roguelike game due to perma death, but Tokyo Jungle sounds intriguing. It's kind of brilliant actually, a true survival game where survival actually means something...in the animal kingdom. Screw survival games with people in them. What do human beings know about fighting for survival? Animals do it every day.

Is there a physical copy in the US like in Japan? I'd prefer to have a physical copy of this game for some odd reason.

Nope... The trend of the more obscure games not getting physical releases overseas is getting more popular it seems, unfortunately. Guess digital is better than no release at all, but still, it's irritating.

To be honest I'm fairly content with it being a digital release. It's fun enough, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Overall, as fun as it is, it's pretty repetitive and gets boring.
