Hi Everyone,
I bought a second hand PSP Go not long ago. It came with the PSP USB cable, but not the plug that the USB cable plugs into which then plugs into the wall. Up until now I have been charging the PSP by plugging it into my laptop, but after a long flight and an empty battery, I tried plugging it into my laptop but it wont charge. I have tried plugging it into the wall using my USB wall plug adapter thingy from my iPhone but to no avail.
Anyone know is there any way to charge this thing without buying an official plug end? Am I missing out something blatant that it says in the manual or something? Hopefully I can get this thing woking again as I am going on holiday tomorrow and would like it working on the plane.
Thanks in advance!

Re: EMERGENCY! Unable to charge PSP
My PSP Slim only charges via USB when plugged into a PC or PS3, phone chargers don't work. It also seems reluctant to USB charge unless I'm running PRO CFW. If you can still start it up, try that.
If you can get the AC adapter from a local store do that.

Re: EMERGENCY! Unable to charge PSP
It used to charge regardless of whether I was running OFW or CFW when connected to the PC, but unfortunately now I can't get it to even turn on. Have tried connecting it to the wall via iphone adapter and straight to the PC via USB for periods of time but no luck.
Will try and go to the store later to ask if I can use theirs to charge it up just enough so I can turn it on then plug it into my laptop........or maybe just buy the official adapter to prevent this from happening again.....argh!

No way, are you serious? That would really suck donkey balls indeed. Think I'll try getting hold of a wall charger and hope for the best, then take it from there.
Can the vita run emulators yet? Might just ask the wife to get me one for Xmas if this psp go won't wake up.

Re: EMERGENCY! Unable to charge PSP
Glad to hear you got it up and running. The PSP Go is an amazing little system. I have one myself. Pearl White and that was my first an only white handheld. I usually never do white but this was an exception.

Yeah, was glad to get it up and running again. I have a white Dingoo A320 but use a black rubber protective skin. My PSP Go is black, although I saw a guy on the subway with a purple one which I thought looked kinda swish.
Actually, I find with these new school smooth and shiny handhelds the black ones get really smudgy with fingerprints. Are white ones any better?

Re: EMERGENCY! Unable to charge PSP
I remember trying to charge my PS3 controllers using the USB/wall charger but it didn't work. It seems that it needed a smart charger. I guess the Go is like that.
I'm surprised that it wouldn't charge at all via the laptop when it was dead. Another good place to use for charging is the USB port on your cable box which is usually always on.

Re: EMERGENCY! Unable to charge PSP
Yeah, I was going to suggest trying a different charger. My PSP 3000 went through the exact same problem a couple months ago, and at first I feared it was the battery, but I tested a different charger when I was over at a friend's house and it worked just fine.
As for colors, I own a white PSP so I hardly see any smudges unless I place it directly in the light and look for them.
It was the same reason why I ended up getting a white DS Lite back when it came out--in fact, the employees at GameStop encouraged me to get white over black for that reason alone.
