Halloween costume ideas
Halloween costume ideas
I didnt see a thread for this already (maybe one from last year) so I wanted to see what everyone was going to do this year? My wife and I had been thinking about this already and we think we are going with Beat and Gum from Jet Set Radio (after playing the HD version last night it was pretty obvious that we could pull those off pretty well) Anyone else going to do a video game themed costume?

I always think of doing cool halloween costumes but never actually follow through
Re: Halloween costume ideas
My gf and I dressed up as Catherine and Vincent last year. Thinking about doing another video game or anime themed costume together this year but haven't really come up with anything solid yet.
Re: Halloween costume ideas
So you are one of those couples who thinks about their costumes in September, eh? Oh you newlyweds.
As someone who has dressed as a zombie hockey player more than four times, I can assure you not every one wants inline skates used in their house.
While at a con I saw a Mario and Luigi in Adidas jump suits, so if I get lucky at the goodwill, I might go for a gangster Luigi. I've also thought about going as the new DC Joker. Played out yes, but still fun.
Last year I dressed as Doctor Horrible, which went over really well. The best part was that when I answered the door, some kids thought I was an actual doctor.

We always wait too late to come up with a costume, and they never come out like we wanted, so we are getting jump on it this year. As for the skates, I have it covered, not going to wear skates with wheels, basically the boot with the frame and wheels removed. A little more elaborate than that, but that is the short version lol.Luke wrote:So you are one of those couples who thinks about their costumes in September, eh? Oh you newlyweds.

But do whatever is fun for the both of ya. You always know what you want, but that perfect costume never seems come to life.

Re: Halloween costume ideas
I'm being a low-budget, work-appropriate Cammy White. This basically means Cammy + pants.
I'm doing this because I already own clothes that work as each piece of her outfit (save for the gloves), and because I don't need a wig to pull off her style. I need to take advantage of the latter while I still can. The long hair will soon be gone, and not long after that I will most likely be going gray.

We considered doing a Jet Set Radio theme this year too, though we were looking at Beat and Cube, just because neither of us like Gum all that much.
So that's on the table, and we're also thinking about Axel and Blaze from Streets of Rage.
There were a couple of others we talked about, but they're escaping me at the moment. I'll have to mention it to my wife again.
We were happy with how we did last year (Luigi and Daisy) so hopefully we can repeat that.
