Wii Lacking FPS?
I looked for a little while last night looking for a multiplayer FPS. The only one I found was far cry and it looked crummy. Why cant they make some game like Call Of Duty 4 for wii? Its annoying. The system is built for it but they havnt made a good FPS so far.

Well, there's Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, which was pretty well-received by critics, though I haven't played it personally. There's also Metroid Prime 3. While I've never been a big fan of the series, I still really enjoyed. Granted, that's about it, which is pretty measly when compared to the 360's FPS library. But, as I'm sure Mozgus will be quick to point out, the PC kinda kicks the crap out of the 360 and all other consoles in the FPS genre.

Didn't COD3 get a release for the Wii?

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

OK, so I spent about 20 minutes playing Metroid Prime 3 at a mall game store over the weekend. I have to say, I absolutely hated the controls and kept wishing I could just use a regular joypad to play the damn thing. I could not get a handle on it and kept swinging wildly around. Probably would have been better if I'd been sitting instead of standing.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just something you "get used to" and eventually pick up? Every time I've played the Wii so far I thought "This shit is just not for me." (Wii Sports and RE4 were the other games I've played.)

Everyone has a bit of trouble at first, I know I did. Once you master a game like Wii Sports then its not so bad moving onto other games. Metroid Prime 3 only took me about 10 minutes to understand well.
I think since FPS developers want everything to be cutting-edge in terms of graphics, they are hesitant to port to the Wii. The demographic might not be there either, as most FPS fans probably own a PC and/or a 360 and would rather buy it on there. It comes down to which is more important: graphics or controls.

Personally I think a n FPS is better to play it on a PC and I don't care about the graphics. The freelook with a keyboard and a mouse its better than a controller. For example bioshock its way more better to play it on a PC than a 360
