Chiller (NES)

Post by ElkinFencer10 »

I'd never heard of this game, but I saw it at a local retro game store today and picked it up. I was wondering how fair a price I paid for it, but I'm having trouble finding it enough online to get a good idea of its value. I paid $56 (excluding sales tax). Was that a fair price?

Good game based on the Lightgun Arcade. It tends to be pricey so you did okay.

Haven't we had enough posts where people ask prices on things and we say to check completed ebay auctions and videogamepricecharts.com yet? I don't mean to pick on you specifically, but this keeps coming up every few weeks. :?

^ I know what you mean, but I never would have known about the game otherwise. Looks pretty interesting.

Nothing wrong with that.

Chiller is quite the controversial game and $56 is a decent price for it. Pretty average. If its in great shape I'd say you made a good buy.

If you ever need to unload it you shouldn't have trouble reqouping your costs.

I'm not an idiot. Clearly I check that, but since the only two eBay listings currently up are for PAL region games on the other side of the planet and there were only a couple of Amazon listings, I wanted other opinions.

And I Googled the game before I bought it, and it sounded interesting and like something I wanted in my collection, but as I said, since there was very little to go on in terms of finding a mean value, I decided to buy it anyway since from what I could gather from the limited sources I could find, it seemed at or slightly below the average value. My purpose for asking here was just to satisfy my own curiosity.

*sigh*

Completed ebay listings. Many of them.

VGPC with a nice table of past sale estimates.

Actually it says 0 results...

Did I just step into the Twilight Zone or something? haha I looked at completed listings for it earlier and all I saw was a complete copy that sold for $150.

WTF, I'm looking at 30 completed listings...

Ok fine, go to ebay, click advanced to the right of the search button, put chiller nes in the keywords, choose the video games category, then check off completed listings. It must be this crappy ass update ebay has done today.
