Obsidian KS to fund Project Eternity

Post by MrPopo »

Looks like they're trying to bring back the Baldur's Gate style of RPGs. They have now taken my money.

It's about time. Always a fan of Obsidian but the South Park game doesn't interest me a whole lot and it gets old seeing them forced to stick with sequels for other series. So I assume this will skyrocket and they'll hit their goal, and finally being able to establish a new IP again.

They're already up to 384,743/1,100,000 and it's only been 4 hours or so.

Hell, I saw the article about it just an hour or something ago and it was 260k or something...

lmao, yep this just might challenge Double Fine's record (if they still hold it?).

$65 box copy for me! I am excited.

One of the downfalls of kickstarter is the wait. These games are so early in production when funded that the wait is incredibly long. I doubt we see this for a few years.

Almost at the 50% mark. I went for the collector's edition + art book package, making this my second most expensive Kickstarter (first was Planetary Annihilation similar reward, but I added $20 for the USB drive).

I put down $20. I might raise it later.

I think there is some real potential here with this game. I know not many people played Alpha Protocol, the spy RPG they made recently...but it's surprisingly deep and fun. The amount of role playing choice in the game is staggering! Definitely give it a chance when you find it cheap.
