Henry Miller, but not his novels, any recommendations?
The birthday of a good friend of mine is coming and since we both like Henry Miller a lot, I thought about giving her a book of him or about him. But I don't really know much beyond his novels and she has already read the obvious titles (Tropics, Sexus and Henry and Miller) so I'm looking for something different, perhaps essays or reflexions by him.
Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it

I'm not too familiar with Henry Miller but what about the movie Henry & June or something by Anais Nin?

Hey, sorry for not answering earlier, I was looking around. I finally got her the letters between the two of them, which she will probably like. So thanks for your suggestionNemoide wrote:I'm not too familiar with Henry Miller but what about the movie Henry & June or something by Anais Nin?

Watch Quiet Days in Clichy (It's on Blu-Ray and DVD thanks to Blue Underground) and then read the novel. I think that's his best work.

I can't imagine watching a film based on anything Henry Miller wrote. It would be like watching a Space Invaders movie, dunno.KillerJuan77 wrote:Watch Quiet Days in Clichy (It's on Blu-Ray and DVD thanks to Blue Underground) and then read the novel. I think that's his best work.
