Any good Power Rangers games?
So I just got into Power Rangers again (just when high school starts, go figure). I already have the SNES game (thanks HVGN!), but are there any other good ones?
Insert clever quote here.

Do you mean the first PR SNES game? That's good, but you should also get MMPR The Movie for SNES. It is tons better.

And I'd argue that the Genesis MMPR:The Movie game is tons better than it's SNES counterpart. The Game Gear games (both MMPR and The Movie) are damn fun beat 'em ups as well.ExedExes wrote:Do you mean the first PR SNES game? That's good, but you should also get MMPR The Movie for SNES. MMPR:Fighting Edition for SNES is actually a well-made fighter with most of the Megazords of that era. It's tons better IMO that the Genesis fighting game (minus lack of Green Ranger/Dragonzord.)
Dino Thunder for PS2/GC is a Zord-centric game and is pretty fun too if you're looking for newer PR stuff.

He has some good suggestions there. I never did play Dino Thunder, though. And I think both SNES and Genesis versions of MMPR The Movie are good, but different.lwcook wrote:And I'd argue that the Genesis MMPR:The Movie game is tons better than it's SNES counterpart. Lol, Power Rangers is still going? I remember seeing the very first episode back in the early 90's.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Any good Power Rangers games?
Mighty Morphin Power rangers for snes is a surprisingly decent game! A little repetitive but still fun in short bursts. Check out power rangers for sega CD if you like quick time or fmv games.

It's bad. It's just grainy footage from the first few episodes of the show with timed button smashing.Godot102 wrote:Check out power rangers for sega CD if you like quick time or fmv games.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Believe it or not, I recently watched episodes of the first season on TV and I still enjoyed them. The best Power Rangers game is the one for the Genesis that was based on the movie.

Fighting Edition is awesome. It uses the same engine as Gundam Wing: Endless Duel. It's my all time favorite Power Rangers game, though I do wish the classic Megazord and Dragonzord were present.lwcook wrote:And I'd argue that the Genesis MMPR:The Movie game is tons better than it's SNES counterpart. I had a good time with the Game Gear games as well.
