Whee. I'm still playing New Vegas, Borderlands 2 is out on the 18th, and isn't Torchlight 2 soon?

Wasn't that supposed to be released in the beginning of summer?

I've been waiting for Black Mesa for years and years... I can't believe it's finally coming out, I had given up hope.

It will certainly be my first proper HL1 playthrough.

Ashamed to say the same for me. I played the crap out of the 2nd one when it was released, I got so swept up in the hype at the time I got it without knowing much about the series, but for some reason never really played the 1st. I played through a bit of it on the DC, but not too much.

It's aged very well in my opinion. In some ways I still like it more than HL2 (the Marines are definitely way more intense than the Combine). This remake will be so different I'm sure it'll be a very different experience... couldn't hurt to play both eventually!

I think the opposite, the second has aged amazingly and still feels like a modern game (With no iron sights, YAY!), while the first game feels very clunky and dated by today's standards. The story telling that I thought was so amazing when I first played it, feels almost non existent compared to its sequel.

An amazing game for its time, however I feel it has aged poorly.
