That's about $450 USD + shipping. Very nice set, but not for that price.
Re: Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box
Yeah it sucks that the price is extremely high. The set looks really awesome though, I'd bite for 150, maybe 200 because I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, but no more than that.

Looks neat. Too rich for my blood, though. Especially since I already own almost all the main Final Fantasies.

Omg the disc art looks amazing. They used Amano's artwork for all of it, even the games he wasn't actually art director on.

VII had an international version?

That's awesome but stupid expensive. I wonder if they will talk about this set being released in US today at the Final Fantasy at PAX.... I will report back if I find out while I am there.

Yeah, same deal with most other international versions.MrPopo wrote:VII had an international version?
A re-release in Japan with everything added to the US version and some other extra stuff. I don't believe there was any significant content additions though, if any. Just like galleries and that type of stuff.

For that price, they should include the international versions of FFX, FF X-2, and FF XII as well. They each have additional gameplay content, especially FF X-2 and FF XII, which had a considerable amount of additions and changes made. I'm a big FF fan too, but a price that high with no international versions other than FF 7? Feels like they're screwing usbrunoafh wrote:Yeah, same deal with most other international versions.MrPopo wrote:VII had an international version?

FF 7 international had little of note compared to those other three games.

Re: Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box
Nice, and bound to be one of the 10 most collectible games of this gen I'm sure. However, here's how I would have done it: All those games fit onto as few blu-rays as possible, running on custom built emulators for the PS3. The SNES games would have the PS1 bonuses but the load times would be fixed and there would be the option to use either the original soundtrack or the cd-quality one. It would cost $100 and the print run would be 100,000; enough for everyone who would absolutely have to have to be able to get a copy but still few enough to be actually collectible, unlike Super Mario All-Stars on Wii.
