Larger is nice, but I think I'm going to hold off until a new color option comes out. Also, I'm very happy they didn't include a second circle pad, since we don't need a second circle pad on the 3DS.

We don't need a second stick because we're not getting games that actually need it (i.e. Monster Hunter 3G).

Really? I didn't expect something like this here.

Considering each DS revision, the XL stands head and shoulders above the others in every way. It's a real joy to use. I'm super, super pleased they've done it so soon to the 3DS, and not at the end of its lifespan when it really doesn't matter. The bigger screen is one (very enjoyable) thing, but the larger form factor makes it far more comfortable to hold and use. In my opinion, anyway.

If you're trying to make a joke about the price the early adopters paid, or about there being another model to choose from in general, it's just plain tired dude. If you're going to make fun of a handheld, you might turn your attention to a similarly sized single screen behemoth -- everything from its sales to lack of compelling software is up for grabs. COME ON. It practically trolls itself!

The 3DS XL is a giant (tee-hee) improvement, and breathes fresh life into my 3DS library.

Was going to buy an XL very soon, but Project Diva f will be out on the Vita in 1 1/2 weeks. So I won't even need to consider a 3DS XL for another couple months. And by the time that happens Persona 4 Golden might be out for the Vita as well.
