Interested in some consoles and want tips.

Post by SamuraiMegas »

I have a list of my collection thread which I will link in a minute but I I already have the major players basically.
I'm interested in turbografx16 neo geo sega Saturn etc etc
Om fourteen with limited funds and I want to expand my console library. I want to know what system has cheapish and somewhat easy to get games, and cheap GOOD games. I don't really want to spend over 100 on a console and probably can't online. Any pointers?

Of the systems you mentioned, I'm pretty sure Saturn is the most affordable and easiest to find things for. But none of those are cheap.

Check out these guides on the main site.

For system prices I would peruse the completed auctions on eBay or look at vgpc.com

Never heard of that second one thanks. Is it rough store prices or online prices?

Thats the site he is referring to, it averages sold prices for games from various sites, it is a good resource to find out a general price of games, though its in no way the end all of price guides.

You should probably get a PC Engine rather than a Turbografx
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

good luck finding ANYTHING turbografx or pc engine at local stores.

neo geo shouldn't even be a remote consideration with a limited income.

Saturn might be your best bet of those options, but honestly I'd suggest you just focus on building what you have now.
